back to work
So yes, I had the best weekend this past weekend that I've had in a long time.
A short summary:
Friday
-chem lab was "chromotography" in which we played with food dyes and the guy across from me proceeded to eat the icing we were using in the experiment
-got a package from my mommy! including things to cook, earrings, and movies. on the downside, I waited in line for 92837 minutes to get it
-bummed around
-went out to dinner with Jenn, Bridget, Alex, and Karri
-went to the Georgetown movie theater and saw "Just Like Heaven" with Alex and Julie
-came back, got changed, went out with Siobhan and her friends to a club. Stayed for maybe 3 minutes, left. But saw a guy get pushed out by the bouncers
-got ice cream
-came back at 1:30am
Saturday
-at 10 am went with Nick, Judy, and Robert with this guy Amir who graduated last year to help out at his church's fall fest.
-stuffed brochures into baggies for 2 hours
-operated THE SNOW CONE MACHINE for 4 hours. my hands were dyed different colors from all those kids being like "I want rainbow ALL the flavors"
-came back at 7, at 8:10 met up with a group of people to go swing dancing/foxtroting/waltzing on the terrace of the Kennedy Center. Ending up dancing with amazing guy named Kevin, 40yr old priest from Europe who was about 5'4", Dave, and Amir.
-went back to HoVA with Amanda, Kevin, and Martin. then off to Ivory Tower to get pitas
-went to the Lincoln Memorial and about fell asleep on the steps
-got back to Thurston at 2:30 am at which point there were about 70 people and chairs outside of Thurston having some sort of get together? I went to bed
Sunday
-missed the bus to church. oops.
-did alot of work, and procrastinated alot because my roomates are so distracting (haha Karri. good thing it will be just me and you soon.)
-made scones
-took a 20 min nap that lasted an hour
-practiced piano
-did more work
-watched the Emmys
-talked on the phone
anyways. an excellent weekend but now I need to go do all my work. great.
